Ants Be Gone

Now's the time to keep an eye out for ants.

You see ants marching all over your counters, walls & floors and no matter how many ants you get rid of they keep coming. Start by watching their patterns and try some of these ways to get rid of them.

CLEAN
Before you start any method to get rid of ants, deep clean! Sweep and mop all corners, take out and clean the trash can, clean countertops and remove any food from counters and then spray anywhere you’ve seen ants with one-part vinegar and three-parts water mixture in a spray bottle.

CINNAMON OIL
Using high-concentrated cinnamon oil along the borders of the entry points and common areas where the ants are entering the home helps repel and even exterminate ants.

PEPPERMINT OIL
Mix about 15 drops of peppermint essential oil to one-half cup of water, spray along the baseboards & any ant trail spots you've seen.

LEMON JUICE
Yes, Lemon juice can be used to deter ants. Squeeze lemons into a spray bottle and find any holes and cracks where the ants may be sneaking through. Additionally, seal the holes and cracks with caulk.  Lemon juice also works on fleas.
